The quickest and easiest way from the airport is by taxi and shouldn’t cost more than £20- £25. The taxi rank is directly opposite the terminal building.
If you prefer you can get the Bus or Tram from outside the terminal building.
The Airlink 100 bus (get it from Bus Stop D, runs every 10 mins) and the Tram both stop at the West End of Princes Street at Shandwick Place. It’s a 10-15 min walk to the apartment from there. See map below, the blue dotted route is easiest :)
From the airport you can also get the Skyline 300 bus which departs from Bus Stop F and runs every 20 mins. Get off the bus at the Heriot Place stop and its a short walk to the apartment (mostly downhill!). See map below.
Here's a link to the bus timetable: LothianBuses
The price is £4.50 one way and £7.50 return (per person)
Here's a link to information about the tram service: EdinburghTrams
The price is £5 for a single and £8 return
You can download the official tram and bus app for Apple & Android here.
The quickest and easiest way from the train station is to jump in a taxi. It shouldn't cost more than about £5 and takes 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. You will find a taxi outside the station on Market Street.
If it's a nice day and you would prefer to walk then I have included a map below showing a few different routes you could take, but beware, it's mostly up hill on old cobbled streets so if you have lots of heavy bags then you might want to reconsider!
Once you reach the City Bypass take Junction 6 - Lothianburn. Follow the road all the way to Tollcross where you reach a large junction with traffic lights.
Stay in the right hand lane and head up to the right onto Lauriston Place. You will reach another small set of lights, go straight through these and take the next left onto Lady Lawson Street.
Head down Lady Lawson Street and at the first junction turn right. Websters Land is
halfway down the hill on your left after the bus stop. There is a lay-by right outside the building where you can park for 5 minutes to drop off your bags.
If the lay-by is full you can turn around and go back to Lady Lawson Street where you can usually find a space.
Note: Lady Lawson Street is a one-way street so to get back there you need to go up Lauriston Street, take a left then left again.
The flats are right in the centre of town so parking can be tricky, the good news is that unless you want to go travelling further afield then you really won't need a car. Most of our guests never even need to get a bus or a taxi!
If you do decide to bring a car you can search for parking options on JustPark
Search for “King's Stables Lane, Edinburgh, UK” and it will show you all available parking nearby.
Alternatively if you won't be using your car while you are here then Edinburgh has an excellent Park & Ride service. It’s free of charge and there are regular buses into town.
